Luke's Last Day at Next

Today was Luke's last day at Next in Dublin, he is off for 1 month now until we move back home so he can arrange removals and pack up the house.
His management team bought him some whisky and cigars (and some Mexican Pesos!) which he will no doubt enjoy over the course of his time off.
After work he went out for drinks at the Hairy Lemon pub and I arranged to meet them once I had finished work at 8pm so we could all go for food. Luke had told me that they planned to go to the new BBQ place called Pit Bros and as I had heard good things abut it I wanted to come along.
When I arrived at the pub they had just bought another round so I decided to have a drink too. Unfortunately another round followed the last and last and then it was too late to go for food. I was starving before I even got to the pub so by this point after just one drink I was getting a bit grumpy!
Despite this it was nice to properly meet his friends from work and I had a good time hearing all their jokes.
Once we left the pub about 11pm we got a taxi home and I had some toast before heading straight to bed, too hungry and tired to wait for a takeaway!
Today I am grateful for Luke's friends getting me involved in their jokes and stories to make me feel included.
