Forest Rowan

It was a fairly early start for me today as I had to clean the lodge without the help of The Man. When I go on my own I feel like I'm playing house and can get distracted from getting on with the jobs. Not so today though, I got a call yesterday asking if we could take five so that meant extra bed linen to be put on.

I was lucky it was a nice day and I got invited on a forest walk. The new growth is incredibly green and the little mountain ash trees were springing up all over the place.

Even though it was mid-afternoon, we managed to see a roe deer cross the path in front of us. A time of day when they are usually lying low.
