Derwentwater

A really lovely day out which began with being collected at about 4am to see the sunrise over Derwentwater.

The actual sunrise wasn't very impressive this morning but we had a nice walk down to the lake shore. I've only been to this side of the lake a couple of times in my life so it was a treat. Well, the walk down to the lake WAS a treat, as for the walk back up to the car..... well, I was ready to have breakfast cooked for me by the time we had struggled back up to the Dormobile.

After breakfast we popped up to Ashness Bridge and Surprise View. Got a few more shots but by this time the tourists were out so we retreated. They so get in the way! Lol!
