Rebuilding the Wall
"After the wall had been rebuilt and I had set the doors in place, the gatekeepers, the musicians and the Levites were appointed." Nehemiah 7:1
Today's picture is of the wall I knocked down AGAIN!! You may think you saw this picture a few weeks ago, but this is a new one, as I knocked it down again. I was trying so hard to avoid it, and yet still managed to get it. Oops... It has been rebuilt again now though.
Which brings me on to the Bible verse today which is taken from Nehemiah. I have just been reading about the story of Nehemiah and it is a fascinating one. Nehemiah was sent to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, walls served many purposes, they showed strength, courage, they were a defence, they provided a boundary, a way in and a way out. If you are needing to rebuild your strength and defences then Nehemiah is just like an instruction manual on how to do this.
The verse I have chosen leads on from this, it is halfway through the book of Nehemiah when the wall has been rebuilt, we then move on to the next stage of re-invigorating God's people. Once the defences were back in place, people then needed to be brought to the place that God was calling them to. If you are going through the stage of rebuilding your walls, then begin to pray about where God is calling you to, what your ministry is going to be once your defences are in place....
