Once Upon A Dream
This is me wearing my Briar Rose Disney bound. I have a grey silk dress worn beneath a grey shirt with a black strapless top over like a corset. I curled my hair and wore a black hairband with black pumps and had rose earrings, a squirrel necklace and my owl handbag to represent her woodland friends.
Luke and I went for a walk to to the War Memorial Gardens near Kilmainham and Luke decided to take some photos of me like Briar Rose in the forest. There is an area of the park with two symmetrical gardens planted with roses, in summer they look spectacular and smell wonderful.
It was a lot of fun, I enjoyed looking at all the pretty cherry blossom, reaching up to smell their delicate scent and waltzing and dancing around to Once Upon A Dream.
Luke took so many photos but this one is my favourite, I love how it captures the sense of movement so well with the skirt twirling and my hair spinning out.
When we left the gardens and walked back home we passed a pub called the Patriots Inn. I had my heart set on steak pie but they had stopped serving food so we just had a drink of Guinness and cider.
When we came home we went to Tesco and bought ingredients to make our own steak and Guinness pie. It took almost 4 hours to cook and we ate around midnight, but it was worth it as it tasted so good!
We also Skyped home as dinner cooked and it was nice to speak to the family.
Today I am grateful for Luke capturing this moment; it shows a side of me with no worries, I am carefree and happy. This is my #Disneyside.
