Remembering Mum

"Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame." Psalm 34:5

Today is the third anniversary of my mum dying, so the picture is of some flowers that I bought in her memory. My mum was fantastic, I always say that I would not be where I am today without her, she faithfully looked after my children while I trained to be a nurse. While we did nit always see eye to eye, I really did appreciate everything she did. Blue was mum's favorite colour so there are some blue flowers are in here, and the red Gerbera is there as mum and dad did stone funny pictures holding these flowers over their eyes!! That is how I like to remember mum as someone who had fun.

The Bible verse is the one that we used at mum's funeral, only we used some poetic license to change the word radiant to the word sparkle, and we doke at her funeral of how mum sparked and that that sparkle rubbed off on people and so many people have sparkle on them because mum lived. That is her legacy, the number of lives she touched through her faith in the Lord, she always looked to Him, even when things were tough. She inspired me in many ways, I was privileged to have been her daughter. I now know that she is with the Lord in heaven and I will see her again...
