The Sun Rises And Hummingbirds, Well, Humm...

I was out in the yard early on this warm morning taking photos of the sunrise. I heard the familiar sound of Zippy's song so I quickly switched the setting on my camera. I was standing right next to the feeder.

The Zip demonstarted why he earned his name the first time I laid my eyes upon him. He doesn't hover like many hummingbirds do. He really does zip in, sits and sips, and zips off - usually high up into the nearby ocotillo. That's what he did this morning. I was lucky to get him on the first snap.
