Lochan Uaine

Lochan Uaine; The Green Loch; it was quite difficult to detect the lovely hues in the poor early evening light tonight. The walk to the loch is an easy 3 km from the main road through beautiful woodland which is so characteristic of this area.
My kit bag is bereft of anything as exotic as an ND filter, in fact it isn’t a kit bag, it is a padded pouch which contains the camera and attached lens and throws easily in to the rucksack. Anyway, it was very windy up at the loch and the surface was very choppy. There was no flat calm reflections at golden hour. I turned the ISO right down and went for a small aperture (to get a silly long exposure). This and the poor light gave me the ND filter effect.
I am hoping some more of the family can come back with me next time. It is such a lovely spot.
