Loch Vaa

Big holiday day:

Caley did a new Corbett today, Meall a Bhuachaille above Loch Morlich. It was new for me too. I was slightly disappointed with the very regimental (though well engineered path) leading from Ryovan Bothy up to to summit. Clearly the hill attracts a lot of traffic and there is concern from from various quarters about erosion and damage to habitat.
With an early start we were done by late forenoon. After lunch we had a wee walk down to Loch Vaa. The water level today was much higher than on our October visit. We didn't get soaked on the hill but the sky was dark and columns of rain (and snow) swept around the much higher mountains adjacent.

I thought the boat house made a nice picture.
