Sorrow

A dark shadow fell last night, with news of the murder of a good friend, apparently in a botched car-jacking. He leaves a lovely wife and 10-year-old daughter here and two sons and family back in Scotland, and a huge hole in the communities in which he was so active. Hard to equate such violence and tragedy with the beauty that surrounds us.
