Disneybound Rapunzel
Today was my first full day off this week and I enjoyed a lie in until around 10am, which was delicious. When I woke up I put the hot water on for a bath and then had a cup of tea while I read my Brides magazine.
When the water was ready I ran my hot bath and sprinkled some white jasmine salts into the water and enjoyed a long soak.
After recently pinning a lot of images on my Pinterest boards about Disneybounding, I decided today would be my first real attempt at my own. I tried on various styles of tops to begin with, as the first idea I had was to be Briar Rose. The outfit wasn't bad, but I couldn't get it quite right. In the end I decided to go for Rapunzel and wore my purple dress that I wore to Terri's Rapunzel princess party. I had a lilac top underneath for her sleeves, wore a plait hairband in my hair, a daisy chain necklace, hair brush earrings, nude pumps and brought Pascal with me attached to a brown satchel like the one Flynn Rider uses to steal the tiara. It was pretty good for my first try, if I say so myself.
Luke wore his Prince Phillip t-shirt and almost brought his foam sword with him!
I took my coral tulle skirt with me in my satchel so I could try it on to find a top to wear with it. I did have a long sleeved fine knit top which I had previously worn with the skirt and loved, but I needed to replace it as Ted ruined it.
We walked into town and bought a warm scone with jam along the way for breakfast.
The first shop we tried was TK Maxx and instead of tops, Luke bought a large pan to cook pasta in. Then we went to H&M where I tried on 9 items! Three were the same top in different colours, of which I bought two! I also bought two dresses with tulle overlays which I will turn into skirts, and a grey shirt with a white collar which will be great for Briar Rose Disneybound.
We then stopped by Starbucks for chai and latte and Luke bought me the cute mug I had spotted a few weeks ago that reminds me of a tulip with a wonderful orange colour inside. Drinks in hand, we listened to Mutefish who were playing outside Next. They were great and I enjoyed tapping along.
We went to M&S next and I bought some new tights as all mine have ladders in, and we went downstairs to the food hall and bought a French stick to go with our Camembert cheese for tea and Luke got a piece of lamb for dinner tomorrow.
Walking back up Grafton Street we stopped for Mutefish again before calling in at work to show Ciara my outfit; I think this is something we will have to both do and come up with some great Disneybounds together! We also bought Frozen and Saving Mr Banks on DVD.
Lastly on our way home I bought a flat pack drinks bottle to take to work with me to hopefully encourage me to drink more, I shall try it out tomorrow.
When we came home we baked the Camembert in the oven with garlic and ate it like fondue with the French bread whilst we watched Frozen.
After the movie we also watched the last episode in the latest series of Jonathan Creek which we recorded ages ago before heading up to bed.
Today I am grateful for the Sarah Spends that Luke always manages to squirrel away to treat me with!
