Mini mani
After a long day's work with just 3 of us in, (boys day with Eric and Ian) I finished at 4ish after sorting out a Saturday delivery when they sent the wrong pallets today.
Ali met me from work and we went to get cheesecake. Today I had maple pecan and Ali had one in a jar and tried Milky Bar flavour but said it wasn't as good as a regular slice.
After cheesecake eaten outside in the afternoon sun, we walked down to Nails for our mini manicure appointment at 5pm.
Unfortunately we weren't sat together, but it was nice being pampered and having a little me time. Obviously we chose neutral colours as we have to keep it plain for work, but it it so nice to have pretty nails that have been cared for and look professional.
After we sat to let them dry for a bit Ali went to show me the bunny and carrot socks that Ciara bought her from M&S and we wandered around town for a little while before heading home.
I wasn't able to photograph my nails whilst they were being done in case I smudged them, so took a snap of them whilst I read by new Brides magazine after I came home. I loved the article and photo shoot with dancers from the Royal Ballet and wedding dresses themed on ballet characters like Aurora, Odette and Clara - very in keeping with our wedding theme of 1920's and ballet style.
I love how Nellie sparkles in this photo, she captures the light so well she almost looks round instead of emerald cut.
Luke went out to play basketball in the afternoon and when he got home he showed me his beautifully horrid blisters before making me spaghetti hoops for tea.
As this has been a very long week I had an early night and hopped on up to bed whilst Luke had bath time at 1am! I know this because I came downstairs for pee time at 1am to find him running his bath water!
Today I am grateful for feeling pampered and catching myself repeatedly glancing down at my freshly painted nails and spotting Nellie.
