Challenge

Tonight we had a family meal out to end this first phase of Ellen's significant year.

Bec had the job of doing the birthday cake. The brief was very precise - to depict Ellen in her element as a sculptor welding some steel. On these occasions, you turn to the net, to the world wide web, to that infinite encyclopaedia of absolutely everything anyone has thought about. You type in some appropriate search term involving the key words 'cake', 'welding', 'steel', 'sculptress'. And wait. Nothing. Google is defeated. But Bec wasn't.

Thank goodness for creativity.
