...would be rife in the UK if Off Licences were still selling their wares at 1978 prices!!

A quiet, drizzly day so back to my recently unearthed 1978 newspaper for entertainment, and a look at how prices have changed over time. Apparently a bottle of 1970's Booth's High and Dry Gin is now selling at £96 a bottle, as opposed to £4.15 in 1978!

Though I suppose prices are all comparative. In 1978 I started my first Saturday job working in a greengrocers and I remembering being so excited at my new found wealth. I was earning £0.72 an hour!!!

From this list, I fancy a few bottles of Lanson Black Label Champagne at £4 a bottle!! What would you choose?
