It's just a car

It's mine and I am parting with it this evening. It's all clean inside and out ready for the handover.

But it's not just been a car. It's done just over 100,000 miles and taken us to many great places all over the country, Scotland, Devon and Dorset, Northumberland, Wales, weekend walking trips etc in fact all points of the British Mainland and over the sea to Isle of Man and it's been to Durham Uni so many times it knows its own way. It's been a kids taxi, carried waste to the tip, carried numerous items of building supplies for my DIY projects.

I never know whether to call a car masculine or feminine? I think it's been a bit of a hermaphrodite. When cruising along the motorway she purrs like a cat being stroked yet when called on he can sprint away like a Cheetah. It's certainly been a good runner and is on the same battery from new.

I hope the new car gives us as much pleasure.
