Bank Hall

We've been here before on Blip a few times, but who cares it was too pleasant an afternoon to stay in and tidy the house. Bank Hall is v. early Jacobean, the core of the Hall with the square chimneys have been added to over the years, the clock tower is early Georgian while the fancy Italianate wing to the left are Edwardian. The building has been left to get into sad state but ..... not for much longer. A massive grant has been secured to restore the building to posh apartments and the clock tower, which is the listed historic bit will be fixed up and open to the public as will the grounds. Hats off to the Friends of group for not giving up on this stately pile.
