Beware! Mum with Camera
WAS going to post a blip of my church to comemorate the fact that, originally, Mothering Sunday, as opposed to Mothers' Day (which is an American secular holiday), was a religious holiday held on the second Sunday before Easter. It was the one day in the year that everyone was given a day off to return to their mother church, and so the one day when families could be together:
"Children and young people who were "in service" (as household servants) were given a day off on that date so they could visit their families (or, originally, return to their "mother" church). The children would pick wild flowers along the way to place in the church or give to their mothers. Eventually, the religious tradition evolved into the Mothering Sunday secular tradition of giving gifts to mothers." (Wikipedia)
BUT, just couldn't resist this of my son - who has come home to both his mother church and his Mum - using our presently open-plan bathroom - with total disregard for normal propriety. And notice phone in hand - even on the toilet!!
