It's been a day with plans set, then changed, then changed again - but good on the whole. Took Pauline out for lunch at Carter's - on the occasion of my birthday. G & her ordered fish & chips which arrived with the chips in a strainer. How quaint. We then had a wander round Wafi as they are having a food and craft fair every Saturday till June. The rest of the pictures are some of the cool things I saw. The only thing missing is the gorgeous 1950s trembler brooch that G got. Don't miss the knives. My favourite though has to be the cushion with Mona Lisa adapted to fit the local culture by putting a burkha (yashmak) on her face. So zany! I actually got to meet the lady who painted it.

None of the other things planned for the day happened but never mind... the ironing got done though. :) Start of a new work week tomorrow. Better get to bed. Bfn. :)

And it was the night of the Dubai World Cup and I completely forgot and missed watching it!
