Our skis pointing to Mont Blanc
Our skis are pointing to Mont Blanc with Courcheval somewhere in the valley below. We both had a happy day - me because I could see where I was going and the snow was good, Mr C because he was getting full value for money with the 3 valley pass, skiing all valleys in one day.
We were out for the first lift at 9am in case the weather changed, or the snow got sugary and lumpy. It was wonderful - nothing scary or challenging, just blues with enough steep bits to keep us concentrating. The rest of the time we whooshed down. When it looked like the clouds were closing in we headed back, which was just as well as by the time we sat down in the bar for a welcome Hoegaarden we'd been out 6 hours. Perfectly acceptable for skiers on the pensioners' pass I'm telling myself!
