Happy Birthday Callum

Great-nephew Callum is 3 today. He is celebrating with a hot chocolate before he goes to ski school. His big brother Robbie, aged 6, wonders why French children get to go to ski school while in England he has to do reading and maths.

It is still snowing but we headed out at 9am and stuck it out till 12. We spent a bit of time low in trees where the light was better, then when it improved briefly we had one really good run, but by the time we'd got back up to 9000 ft for the second time we were in total cloud. We made the wrong choice of piste to come down - it had not been dressed recently so was very lumpy and bumpy - not a problem when you can see them coming, but less pleasant otherwise.

A short rest now, then we'll have another go - it's all very good for me, I'm being told!
