Morning with promise
The morning started with lots of sun - this is the view from our balcony just before we set out for Val Thorens. On the way we witnessed one young man having a salutary lesson and a very lucky escape. He was going too fast down a steep section, and was unable to turn at a sharp corner, crashing into the safety netting which caught his boot as he tumbled right over the net. He was hanging over a cliff with a few hundred feet drop. Luckily his skis both fell off on the piste, and his boot held him in the net so that he didn't fall right down - it all happened so fast - I don't know about him, but I felt a bit shaky!
Later on the cloud came over, with a sharp icy wind. Sitting on the lift I felt my face was frozen. (Mr C thought it was fun to see what I'd look like with Botox.)
We had lunch with our niece, partner and the boys who are having a fun time, then went off out again to get a few more runs while the weather held, but after 6 hours out, I've had to call it a day. My knees and thighs are screaming at me.
