Mosaics

When not doing housework today we have been making mosaic pictures or "STICK!" as Lily calls them. Kept them both quiet for well over an hour which is quite astonishing really. Lily really loves peeling and sticking things. Dylan was quite attentive about where the colours needed to go, and while he diverted from the suggested patterns, he had a clear plan in his head for what had to go where :) Probably should have waited to hoover until we'd packed it away, mind! There were 3,000 of those little suckers in that box!

In other news, Andy's World of Dinosaurs is still THE big thing. He came home from school telling me we had to sport a special "gizmo", hat, backpack and coat and run away from the tyranosaurus who was being hunted by his mum and dad. We escaped from that one, then it was a diplodocus who was trying to pick us up and use his long neck to put us in a tree. As we neared home, there were pteranodons and pterodactyls flying over our heads and trying to get in the house. I told him we'd be safe inside but no, apparantly they have keys! Hiding under the cushions on the sofa was the only place we were safe. L enjoyed copying big bro, despite not really having a clue what was going on with this game, bless her.

Think we need to find something dinosaur themed to do over the weekend. Any ideas?
