a walk in the park
When asked what they wanted to do today, Dylan said he wanted to go to the park so despite being rather overcast and cold we wrapped up, raided the bread cupboard for the ducks, packed the doll and pram, bike and helmet and toddled off to Queens Park. We were there for hours! Had a nice hot choc and cheese toastie in the cafe, fed the ducks, played on all the playgrounds, chased each other about, studied the flowers, collected leaves, drew with sticks in the sand, climbed, swung, exercised, slid, spun, giggled, shouted... exhausting really! D's favourite bit of the day was "kicking my wellies off on the swing, finding a crew for the fire engine and throwing the leaves into the lake". L seemed to enjoy throwing the bread for the ducks best, though i was on tenterhooks the whole time as she was stood very close to the edge and likes to throw her entire weight forwards and i was very nervous about her falling in!
Good to get some fresh air :)
Lily's hat still turns heads everywhere we go. Must get a bigger one.
