Friend or Foe?

We spent the morning looking around the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, where the treaty of Waitangi was first signed on 6th February 1840, and attended a Maori culture show. The Blip shows part of greeting you experience before you are allowed into their meeting house, which is to determine if you are friend or foe. Many may recognise the facial expression from the “All Blacks” Haka on the rugby pitch. After lunch we visited the Haruru Falls and then onto the Kerikeri Mission Station and Stone Store.

The rain started around 5 pm and the cyclone is due tonight. The cyclone is a level 1-2 (worst is level 6) so expecting lots of rain, high seas with 4-5 metre swells and gale force winds of 50-60mph. Not sure what we will do tomorrow as it will be down to the weather and the state of the roads.
