A diamond couple

Lottie and I travelled down to Hinckley this afternoon to stay with my brother and sis-in-law. There was a party for Sue's parents, Brenda and Neville, to celebrate their diamond wedding anniversary.

You couldn't wish to meet a nicer couple - they always make people feel welcome and it was lovely to see so many people turn up to celebrate at their local bowling club.

Lottie had a whale of a time and we didn't leave until well after midnight, the food was fabulous, the cake was amazing and everybody enjoyed themselves. The music ranged from 1950s to present day and I have never seen Lottie dance so much. She also enjoyed making a den with all the balloons from the tables with a couple of other slightly older girls.

The cake was a ferris wheel with Brenda and Nev at the top clutching candy floss and a hot dog. Apparently they met on the ferris wheel at Skegness all those years ago.
