Incoming No 2!!

Today's “bird” has fixed wings and was considerably bigger than yesterday's!! Though not as “sweet”!!

After a cold night (outside) we woke this morning to snow on the hills round Kaikoura!! The first day of autumn in this part of the world!!

We set off for Blenheim a couple of hours drive north. We visited the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre to see Sir Peter Jackson's Knights of the Sky Exhibition. A superb display of WW1 aircraft and artifacts.

What makes this different to the other aviation centres / museums that we have visited is the settings for the aircraft, which are created by WingNut Films and Weta Workshop.

We visited in 2008 and thoroughly enjoyed a second visit today, as there is only so much so much to take in at a time!!

Having booked in to the motel, a trip to the supermarket was required. We are eating in for the next two evenings so the shopping list prepared and food purchased. All very organised!!
