"slice of rhubarb tart"

It's beginning to look a bit more like Spring! :)

Although I don't like the taste of rhubarb, I grew up surrounded by the stuff! My Granda McHugh used to grow it at the bottom of the garden when he lived in the house beside the river, and then when he and Granny moved to Chestnut Grove, the rhubarb got pride of place in the corner of the back garden. It would be pulled and Granny would make it into one of her tarts and then dish out even more rhubarb stalks to mum and auntie jenny and basically absolutely anyone who wanted it as it tended to grow uncontrollably!! haha!

It's lovely how things from your childhood still make you smile and remember happy memories as you get older.

Sad result for my men in green today - no triple crown, but then that means no triple crown for anybody so that's OK. Onwards and upwards for the championship and BOD's last opportunity for rugby glory! :)
