"Pancakes!!"

Best Pancake Day Ever!!!

So yes this was quality time and very precious time like it always is, but tonight was also the best time I've had in ages! Between us we managed to create relatively good looking pancakes - despite claims that the line manager had not delegated out pouring instructions correctly! haha!

Now I love lemon and sugar, chocolate spread, syrup, etc as much as the next person but nothing comes close to fried bacon and maple syrup!! 9 pancakes and 10 rashers of bacon - a heart attack on a plate, but so so so good!!!! Needless to say our arteries went into a state of shock, so much so that the batter we left over for sweet topping pancakes was never used! :(

In fear of flat-lining and requiring a crash team, the sofa seemed like the safest place to retreat to and watch Despicable Me 2 - so funny!! Why have I never watched these films before?!

There was laughter, pancake batter everywhere, smiles, pancake flipping (a sneaky one by me when they weren't looking incase I dropped it), greasy fingers, nutella overload, banter and maple syrup dribbles! A lovely night full of fun and happy memories!

And you're right....it was all about how the bacon was fried! haha!
