The local celebrity

My little boy is famous! Well, in South Perth at least! This is Puffin the egret chick I looked after for the first six days. I'm still involved with his rearing but am now just overseeing the keepers looking after him. He is growing up fast and is now close to 600g! He'll be hopefully going outside into an intermediate sized aviary in preparation for his eventual move to the wetlands. It's been a great experience and so glad he's doing well :)
