Coming Undone
This is one of the collection frill-neck lizards which we are currently treating for some abrasions to his nose and chin. You can see he has some rather delicate tape strips covering the tips of his mouth although the top one is starting to lift off a little.
As you may have guessed he is not particularly happy in this shot! Not so much from the injury but because I've been waving UV meters around his body for the last couple of hours testing the UV globe output and making adjustments accordingly. It's an extremely tedious and frustrating practice at times but also an extremely important part of reptile husbandry - especially for sun worshipping species such as the frillie!
