And a tuba player too!

Well, this isn't the tuba in my backyard, but Danny cracked me up when he pulled out this huge musical instrument. He is an entertainer of all trades! He sings, acts, plays all sorts of instruments, always quick with a joke.

We pulled off a huge 50th birthday party for a dear friend today. (I think half the party had a birthday in November, so it was more of a Birthday Bash) Everyone had a great time. And we have enough food to feed the 60 or so people for at least 3 days. Sent lots of it home in baggies!

They were singing kareoke at the tops of their lungs. Mostly Sinatra & Elvis. (Fortunately, I have a mute button for my hearing aids. And I'm not afraid to use it.) The party was at Danny's house. He brought out a kazoo, a triangle, a real washboard and was even playing noises with two wooden spoons!

Then the kids got out the Guitar Hero and played one Beatles song after another! The Beatles are my dad's favorite band and I know nearly every song by heart. My kids had a Beatles montage in chorus one year and now it's their favorite band! It was fun to watch 15 kids (ages 8 to 25) playing guitar, drums, and singing into microphones.

We are finally home. Stuff put away. It's nearly midnight.......Good night!
