All the pelicans in a row!

I took so many great pictures at the Carpinteria Beach this afternoon, it was so hard to choose! I can't believe I caught these guys all lined up.

I saw a cool sandpiper - he looked like an oversized hummingbird - arguing with a segull about a fat sandcrab.

We had a wonderful day! Found a little mom & pop cafe for brunch. Found a salt marsh with some eggrets and a vulture. Best part was sitting on the beach watching the waves and the pelicans. Most relaxing!

We went north to Santa Barbara for the afternoon. Toured a Mexican artifact muesum (We think it was really a old rich woman who wanted to show off her vacation trinkets and used it as a right off!) Did some shopping. Found a loud & busy fish place for a yummy dinner. And then drove home to giant hugs and kisses from three little monkeys who really missed us!

What a nice, long-overdue break!
