Peach farm

I had to drive down to the plain today to spend the day at the lycée again. The school dinners bear no comparison with the school dinners I used to eat. I had a good and healthy choice and the ingredients were healthy and I believe, locally sourced. The result is that levels of obesity for young people are lower thank the UK although that is changing with the advent of fast food and different patterns of food preparation. It is still true that a lot more fruit and vegetables and a lot less processed food is consumed here.
The school is near this farm. It is a shame to see the trees uprooted but they have been infected by a virus and this is the only solution. Fortunately, the virus seems only to have affected a small part of the orchard.
