How novel!
When I woke up this morning I had a message from Kate who runs the walking group, to say that she was going on a recce for next week's walk and did I want to join her. I was planning to go to Zumba, but I called her and said I'd love to walk instead, so she gave me the post code for the Sat Nav and I quickly got ready, loaded Louis into the car and off we went.
Sat Navs are great when they work, but mine decided it wanted to take me on the scenic route! Bearing in mind last night's gales, it took me off the beaten track down narrow country lanes and past flooded fields, one of which had spilled over onto the lane. I had visions of coming across trees in the road, but eventually I made it and arrived at the little village of Fairwarp, and parked up in the pub car park where we'd arranged to meet.
As we set off, Kate noticed the old telephone box had been turned into the village library. We looked inside, and as you can see it's full of books - excuse the pun, but what a novel idea! It was a good walk, but about half way round the weather changed and it started blowing a gale again and raining, but we made it back safely and went into the pub for a drink. The others stayed for lunch but I needed to head back as I had things to do this afternoon.
While I was out I received an email to say that I'd been unsuccessful in the job interview on Monday and that they've offered it to another candidate. I was a bit disappointed, but have mixed emotions really because although it sounded like a good job, I would still prefer to work just 2 or 3 days a week rather than every day. So my plans this afternoon have now changed and once I've uploaded my blip, it's back to the job applications!
Thank you for all your comments, hearts and starts yesterday, my beach huts hit the spotlight and are still there!
