Swans

To Biggar for a walk and some errands.

It was quiet down there. At first I thought it was the smell of disinfectant coming from my jacket after yesterday's greenhouse clean. Though I thought I smelled fresh today rather then pungent. It wasn't that but the weather, it was cold and rain threatened. The rain made good on its threats when we were furthest from the car.

As we turned to make our way back some swans flew over. I heard them before I saw them. They have a lot of weight to keep in the air requiring significant wing flapping. With four of them, it made considerable noise. I also wondered whether a spray of WD40 in some of those joints might have helped. Might need something like that myself soon.

The rain made it through to the shot through spots on the lens so this one is cropped with a little retouching.
