"come the day..."
Revenge is a dish best served at Lansdowne Road!!
28-6 what a scoreline!! Admittedly, I was incredibly nervous at the beginning as Scotland looked good and Ireland were getting very little ball time but then the boys in green cranked it up a gear or two and it was Ulster hands that went over for a try at half time. Great movement by Trimble - a great player who deserves a lot more game time, but he was wearing the 14 shirt...that's Bowe's number and nobody else's! haha!
In the 2nd half I was much more relaxed as Heaslip and the brilliantly skilled Rob Kearney went over the white line!! Rob has suffered so much with injury that we're only now getting to see just how good he is. A No.15 that can run like the wind and take a high ball so effortlessly - he's got it all!
Scotland were brave in the first 20mins but then started to be tamed. They needed to be more gutsy against the team that took New Zealand all the way in November! I predict great things for this Irish team in 2014. They have a retirement to celebrate - let's do it for BOD!!
They just need to keep their heads and not lose concentration when it matters most!
