Candlemas

The 2nd February is when Candlemas falls when tradition has it that candles are brought into church to be blessed and when they are lit back home they symbolise the light of the world.

This year the 2nd falls on a Sunday do the chat to the children was about this tradition. It was certainly an eclectic display.
