Jay

It was quite a surprise this morning to wake to blue skye after the grey days of the past week.

After a quick breakfast, knowing that the blue sky’s wouldn’t last we took ourselves over to Knypersley for some fresh air.

The woodland birds were very vocal and busy foraging for food this morning. We spotted a large flock of Bramblings high in the tops of the trees but unfortunately I couldn’t get any photos of them, so we contented ourselves with just watching them.
As we watched the Bramblings a Jay posed on a branch for just long enough for me to grab a quick photo.

The blue sky’s didn't last long by the time we got back to the car the grey had taken over again and the rain soon followed.
