Wedgwood Memorial Institute

I thought it was about time I looked at my local area with fresh eye’s, so to day a took a walk around Burslem.

Wedgwood Memorial Institute, Queens Street, Burslem, is a grade II listed building opened in 1869.

This is one of the ten relief terracotta panels which depict the different processes in the manufacture of pottery, that are part of the decorative front of the building. Unfortunately this is one of many buildings in the town that have fallen into disrepair.
