Struggling

Pure, white and precious - a very small but perfect flower.

Appearing almost overnight, hidden by an overhanging rose, variegated grasses, ground elder - hateful stuff - and leaf litter, this tiny snowdrop was struggling.

The first in the garden of few, as the saturated water logged soil here tends to rot bulbs as fast as you plant them, which is unfortunate, as they are a cheery sight during a cold and dismal winter. The same is true of the bags of crocuses, tulips and daffodils liberally spread throughout the garden to no avail.

Having had the courage to post some of my photographs on blip I decided bravely to try to venture out and sell some of my work rather than having it sitting on the computer hard drive! Taking the lead from Debbi on her recommendation I have gone with the US company FineArtAmerica for my website as it does take out the hassle of selling and marketing and I'm quite pleased with the results. Still a bit scary though :))
