Sunrise in Full Colour

Why all the gorgeous orange-red sunrises over in the UK? This blip is made in full colour in our mild-feeling weather. 40ºF.
Each year in january we experience a January meltdown and people are wondering if this could be it. I thought it came closer to the end of the month. Perhaps, I can hope, we shall have two? Flooding is proceeding quite nicely. I will have to slip out to blip that before it arrives near my street.
Rain later today, not snow. We just get precipitation in these old mountains until the summer. It comes in different forms. Not really grumbling.... well, not too much. Grrr.
But, why do I jump out first thing in the day to capture a silver-grey winter sun that looks like a large full moon?
