Snowperson Criminal

Read in The Guardian today that scholars in Saudi Arabia have declared a Fatwa against snowmen (sic).  Although light snow has recently fallen in the north of their country, the religious concern had to be declared before the building madness began (my religious opinion). 

An an opinion from over there:

“It (building snowmen) is imitating the infidels, it promotes lustiness and eroticism...”



The kids living across the street  (shall remain anonymous) built this one with an evergreen branch stuck on top for hair and thin branchy arms. Gender neutral. Perhaps that's okay?

As the morning sun slipped up over the hills,  I snapped this from inside my heated car. Although the temperature has gone up to +3 degrees F. the early morning started at -4ºF (-22ºC).  Nothing I care to get outside to blip. 

Only the heretical  lusty, erotic  snowpeople can bear this kind of weather.
