I promised I would allow myself to do one mental thing while on my career break, and today I did it.

I dyed my hair blonde.

So do blondes have more fun? A few sideways glances in the mirror, and I feel the urge to hike stealthily through the forest to the Finnish border, sterilise my wounds with potato vodka, and fashion a sniper's rifle from two elk antlers and a mascara wand. So, in short, yes.

The overall effect is a bit like the love child of Brigitte Nielsen and Draco Malfoy.
