The Big Nasty

Today's blip is my Hominy Grill mug, a souvenir from a holiday to Charleston, South Carolina a few years ago. The Hominy Grill is a legendary neighbourhood eatery in Charleston - and the food is stuff of sufficient legend that it featured in an episode of the awesome "Man v Food". Grits are a house speciality, as is The Big Nasty Biscuit - feast of a dish with fried chicken, cheese and sausage gravy.

The expanse of peaceful emptiness stretching behind the mug in the photo is the result of an initial clean out today of my desk at home. The contents of the desk are spread out in another room waiting, sullenly, to be processed. Not all will survive. That sight is, indeed, The Big Nasty.
