Mild panic

It's Monday. Mondays are generally fairly busy, and add to that 42 degree plus heat (degrees C not degrees F), well - it's not been the most comfortable of days.

So, it's getting late in the afternoon, and I start to get a sense of panic. What the.... am I going to blip. Too hot to go out - and in any case, there's not a lot out there. Everything and everything is sheltering in the coolest possible spot.

It's getting later and later. So in desperation, a quick run down to the Park, and there at least the birds are finding solace in the cool water. As is this Heron. And the light on the water was again splendid.

Panic over, but it was a close-run thing. And there are 3 more days of this intense heat to go, before we get some relief.

Tell you what though, we're not getting it as bad as they are in Perth. Shocking bush fires in the foothills just outside of the city. More than 40 homes gone, 1 life lost, and another 4 people missing. And it's not over yet.

On a brighter note, many thanks for the stars, hearts and wonderful comments on my tomato pollinator. She flew right into the spotlight, and stayed there for most of the day.
