Memories

Started clearing out my Mums house today, only half way through the loft?
My Dad kept everything, absolutely everything. He was a very organised man, all of his books, magazines about cycling and house building is labelled and filed in folders dating back, so far, until the early 80's.
My Dad also collected stamps. I remember every Saturday night I would sit with a basin of water with my dad and soak the stamps off of envelopes.
I came across the folders with the stamps in them. Everything was immaculate, this page was dated 16th June 1982, earliest I could find so far is 1971. This page contains stamps that were printed to celebrate Maritime year. On each page my Dad wrote the date of publication, who designed the stamp, why the stamp was printed and who or what was on the stamp. These stamps depict famous sailors and their ships,
Henry VIII , The Mary Rose
Admiral Blake, Triumph
Lord Nelson, HMS Vickery
Admiral Fisher, HMS Dreadnought
Admiral Cunningham, HMS Warspite
This shows a part of my Dad a lot of people didn't see.
