The Way Through the Woods

It was a Hospice Day today so the dogs had to wait until I got back for their walk and by that time the sun had disappeared. It had been a very busy morning so I was feeling tired but we did manage to walk up to Ormonde Hill and back. I usually prefer to do this walk in the morning as it can get quite gloomy but the big advantage is that being a coniferous wood the ground is very porous and not muddy. The dogs love it as the woods are full of smells, I'm sure there at deer so I have to keep an eye on Poppy.
