On your marks...

Chorlton's so funny around 3pm on a Saturday. There are so many parents with prams and as naptime ends, the prams are like horses being released from the traps at a race. The streets and parks are suddenly flooded with parents trying to get out before it goes dark.

Audrey and I joined the throngs but decided to go to Chorlton Park as it's generally a bit quieter. Beech Road Park has queues for the swings (often complete with passive-aggressive Mums talking through their children, "Milly, wait your turn. I think this little girl was here first" etc.)

Audrey's favourite is the climbing frame and slide combo. She could spend hours on it. Although it had to compete with a muddy puddle at the playground today which she spent about 10mins in!

Home to bake some muffins and prepare tea. A pretty humdrum Saturday as our previous plans for the day changed but nice otherwise.
