one year gone...

Hard to believe that it has now been a year since Helena died...a tumultuous year indeed. The pain that her family has endured has been heartbreaking to experience and as of yet there is very little reflection of the 'what was lovely about Helena's life' - it is all still too raw and too many unanswered questions.

My eldest daughter was exactly one year (minus one day) younger than her and so yesterday we reflected how she was exactly the age that Helena was when she took her own life - and today she is now older that she ever will be...hard for her to fathom.

There are plans we have made to use aspects of this tragedy to improve the lives of teenagers who suffer with mental health problems but we just need this one year anniversary to pass in order to make the next steps forward...and then we will...hopefully to helps others who may also journey on such a painful path in their lives.
