New Year party
4years 72days
We have had a fabulous day!! We have spent most of it, just her and I, 'doing'. We made reindeer bark chocolates, we made mince pies and a large mincemeat tart, we built lego, we did washing up (she thought it was wonderful to wash up!). We just had a wonderful time being together, enjoying simple but lovely things.
Mid afternoon the Harts arrived. We love our new years day with them. Uniquely this year we ended up all 6 of us sat in the playroom with the massive bucket of lego. We had an inside picnic tea in the lounge before Katie and Jaden vanished to play hide and seek, playdoh and more.
2014 brings a lot - it will bring Katie leaving nursery. It will bring her first day at school. It will bring the birth of my new godchildren. It will bring Katie's second time being a bridesmaid. It will bring her second trip to Northern Ireland. A very mixed bag of adventures !
We are not big on resolutions here. But we are setting ourselves a couple of challenges for 2014.
*I will try a new recipe each week, we will bake something each week.
*We will have a memory jar for the happies, the special moments the nice things that we will enjoy at the end of 2014
*We are going to read the Chronicles of Narnia.
*We are going to climb a mountain (with the Harts!)
Happy Days, Happy New Year!
